Imagine hunting for of "Ol' Holbrook", a mysterious adventurer who somehow croaks every year under dubious circumstances on a wild misadventure. His young, rich, and super hot widow has offered a fat stack of cash and sweet, sweet moto gear for teams or individuals who can solve the mystery of his passing and find his remains.

A Single Stage of The Expedition 988 Rally Might Look Something Like This:

To find him, you've got to finish a series of incredible challenges given by Lady Holbrook.

• The Clue: You start a timed rally stage with nothing but two photos left behind by Ol' Holbrook during his ill fated adventure.

• The Start: Your goal is to navigate to the exact location of Holbrook's first photo, take a selfie that perfectly matches his down to the most minute detail, then vlog the location and document your start time for the rally stage.

• The Route: Follow the cryptic trail clues to track down the location of Holbrook's second photo. You must maintain a strict, predefined average speed along the way. Plan your route carefully for potential slow (difficult) sections, and for paved sections with a speed limit.

• The Finish: Prove your time and average speed with final selfies of you, your watch, and your GPS stats in the precise spot of Ol' Holbook's second photo.

• The Catch: You've got an inflatable pool orca strapped to your rear fender that must stay pumped up throughout the rally, because Lady Holbrook wants you to raise awareness for the whales, too.

• To Win: You not only have to find Ol' Holbrook, but you've got to score the most points from challenges along the way. You'll score points by:

  • Matching exact photos, poses, etc.

  • Constructing special bushcraft requests for Lady Holbrook (like demonstrating your spearmaking skills!)

  • Keeping your video logs entertaining, and within the time limit.

  • Preserving your keepsakes (in this case, an inflatable orca.)

  • Matching the average speed in the precision sections.

  • Completing bonus skill challenges in specific locations.

  • Solving and recording audio and visual clues to find Ol' Holbrook

  • Using the least amount of clues from your packet.

  • Doing the robot (pop and lock) like a boss.

  • And much, much more!

This is just one example rally stage you'll have to decode on your search for the reward of Ol' Holbrook. You'll may be navigating by compass, by the stars, or by cryptic clues. Puzzles, sleuthing, riddles, scavenger hunts, rally stages, challenges, strategy, teamwork, and feats of random moto prowess await!

At the final stage of the rally await the bones of Ol' Holbrook. You'll have to do some sleuthing during the ride to find out what finally did him in. Snap a selfie with his (very fake) remains, submit your photo log to me, and the reward is yours! Unless, of course, another team completes the rally closer to the designated rally times, with more accurate photos, a more befitting description of his demise, and with fewer holes in their inflatable orca.​​
